Have you been wanting to try a yoga class, but aren’t sure what to expect? Or, maybe you’ve done a class or two and are ready for the next step. This week the Fargo Public Library is offering two yoga classes for adults and teens. The first session titled “Yoga Basics” is designed for beginners or those who want a refresher class. The class is set for Saturday, July 26, starting at 10 a.m. at the downtown Main Library. This session offers a basic introduction to the poses (asanas) and breathing techniques of yoga. No experience is necessary. Space is limited; pre-registration is required. Register online or call the Main Library Information Desk at (701) 241-1492 or Jenilee at (701) 241-8123 for details.
The second session, titled “Power Yoga“, is for those who are ready to move through poses at a faster pace. Join us Saturday, July 26, starting at 2 p.m. also at the downtown Main Library. This class will emphasize balance, flexibility and strength as participants work through the vinyasa, or series of poses. Some yoga experience may be helpful for this class. Space is limited; pre-registration is required. Register online or call the Main Library Information Desk at (701) 241-1492 or Jenilee at (701) 241-8123 for details.
Both sessions are free; participants should wear comfortable clothing to allow for unrestricted movement.
