Library presents backyard composting workshop July 22

Are you interested in learning how to turn your spoils into soil? Do you know the benefits of backyard composting? Join us Monday, July 22 starting at 6:30 p.m. at the downtown Main Library for a free workshop titled The Big Dig on Composting to show residents how easy and beneficial it is to do backyard composting. Presented by Jennifer Pickett, City of Fargo Recycling Supervisor, this session will introduce participants to what composting is, the different types of composting and how to get started. Pickett will also cover what materials to compost, which to avoid, and how to use your finished compost. For details, contact Drea at (701) 241-1472.
