Library Welcomes Author Will Weaver Monday, March 4

The Fargo Public Library is pleased to welcome award-winning author Will Weaver to the downtown Main Library for a presentation and book signing on Monday, March 4 starting at 7 p.m. in the community room. Titled “From Fiction to Film”, Weaver will share how a novel is adapted to film, including insights and anecdotes into working with Hollywood producers on a television movie and the successful independent film, Sweet Land.

Weaver’s short story “A Gravestone Made of Wheat” was adapted as the independent feature film Sweet Land, starring Ned Beatty. His newest work is a memoir The Last Hunter:  An American Family Album. He has also has written several award-winning works for young adults, including Striking Out, Farm Team and Hard Ball.

Currently living in Bemidji, MN, Weaver grew up on a farm in northern Minnesota. Additional information about Weaver and his current projects can be found at
