The Fargo Public Library is pleased to welcome award-winning children’s author John Coy to the downtown Main Library for a presentation on Wednesday, March 28 starting at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room. He will discuss the process he goes through in making a book, including first drafts, rejection letters and revisions to show how a story goes from an idea to a finished book. All ages are welcome.
Coy is the author of picture books, children’s fiction and young adult fiction. His works include Vroomaloom Zoom, a Book of Excellence on the Children’s Literature Choice List, and Two Old Potatoes and Me, a Nickelodeon Jr. Best Book of the Year that was also featured on PBS’s Reading Rainbow. Most recently, Coy has published a middle-grades sports series called 4 for 4. The third in that series, Love of the Game, was released in 2011. Books will be available for purchase. For details, contact the Children’s Dept. at (701) 241-1495. This event is co-sponsored by the Valley Reading Council.
